inside and out.

Julie Rowin MD is a medical doctor board certified in Neurology, Neuromuscular Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Acupuncture, with additional training and expertise in Functional Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine and Yoga. She works with her patients to identify environmental triggers that are preventing their bodies from having what they need to heal themselves from chronic illnesses.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Dr. Rowin will continue to offer virtual patient visits as well as transition to in-person visits starting in June 2020.

Functional Medicine

Functional medicine chooses to seek out and treat disease at the root cause level. Root causes of disease include: diet and food sensitivities, toxic exposures, infections, stress and gut health.

Testing in functional medicine searches for imbalances in the body that can be corrected by supporting the body’s natural healing abilities.

Healing happens when we utilize our bodies'

innate intelligence.

Dr. Rowin's approach is to

identify and remove environmental triggers

whenever possible and then provide the body

with what it needs to repair.

An Integrative Approach

to Neuropathy

When imbalance of the body manifests in the peripheral nervous system (in the nerves), it is known as a “neuropathy”.  Sensory, motor and autonomic nerves can be involved. Neuropathy is a disruption in the communication between our extremities and the brain leading to abnormal sensation, motor control and/or balance.

First and foremost, I am most appreciative of having a neurologist who is board certified in Integrative Medicine. Dr. Rowin is exactly the practitioner that I desire to assist with my autoimmune neurologic journey.
